Aluminum, magnesium, titanium or steel – Lightweight metal design has a great market potential. Top-selling industries, such as automotive, aerospace and railway transportation make increasingly use of lightweight metal design solutions to be able to save considerable resources and costs. The conference focuses on construction engineers, development engineers, product managers and designers from all industrial fields that work for future-oriented companies with a high level of innovative potential. It gives examples of the enormous potential of lightweight metal design solutions and informs visitors about lightweight design casting, additive layer manufacturing, flame spraying, sheets and product-related applications. The program committee including Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ursula Koch (faculty for light engineering and microtechnology, physical technology at the University of Applied Sciences, Munich) and Dr. Claudio Dalle Donne (EADS Innovation Works, Head of the fields metallic and surface engineering) guarantees participants top-notch lectures.
